Curious question about release of content

I don't know if anyone remembers me but I was a constant member in the first forum and was about to work on a stage but I had some things in life to take care of and I got away from the site. I would like to try starting again and I have a good question to ask before I go on with a idea I have been working on.

I wanted to know, if I were to release a full mugen, with no creations of my own, but edits to a zillion characters (these edits being only the total health damage and defense so as to make the characters all, at least a little balanced) would I need to list off credit to every single characters creators + the menu set + every creator of stages, or could I just, say hey everyone these are all created by others and I take no credit for anything but changing 3 values in the .def's?

I only just thought of it as it is something I have been striving for but never finished. (It could also mean that you have the chance to beat characters that have super AI or super damage)
